9.3 Programming Chime Zones
You can program your keypad to emit a rapid, intermittent beep
whenever designated zones are opened or only when opened
between certain hours. These zones are referred to as Chime Zones.
If you have several keypads, they must each be programmed
separately. Your installer can program your chimed zones to also
beep upon closure.
9.3.1 Activating a Chime Zone
How do I program my keypad to beep every time a zone
opens?
1) Enter your [
ACCESS CODE]. Your keypad will emit a Confirmation
Beep. The A
CCESS action light will flash.
2) Press the [9] key to enter the Chiming Menu. Your keypad will
emit a Confirmation Beep. The P
RG action light and area light(s)
will flash.
3) Press the [1] key. Your keypad will emit a Confirmation Beep.
The P
RG action light and any already chimed zones will
illuminate.
4) Enter the two-digit zone number(s) you want to designate as
chimed.
Your keypad will emit a Confirmation Beep and the
numerical light(s) corresponding to the zone(s) will illuminate. If you
reenter the number of an illuminated numerical light, the
corresponding zone will unchime and the numerical light will turn off.
5) Press the [
CLEAR] key to exit.
